The phrase “Great therapy dogs cannot be explained, they must be experienced,” was coined by one of the owners of Kindred Souls Canine Center ( Maria Yepello). With this phrase, a standard was born. To make our therapy dogs safe, and to give our handlers the knowledge needed to confidently face whatever complication they may encounter during a visit.

The environment is designed to be an enjoyable and learning experience for the handler and their dog.

The class is taught by Christian Lehmann; a retired special education teacher for the past 32 years, dog trainer for the past 13 years to present. Chris had apprenticed under Peter Campione before taking on the position of Therapy Dog Instructor.  Some of Chris’ additional credentials are, AKC evaluator, Therapy Dog evaluator for Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs Inc. and Director of programs for central NJ for Bright and Beautiful.

Assisting  Chris are his three Australian Shepherds, 12 year old Noah, 6 year old Ariel and the newest addition Ice.
