OK so WE are going through an unprecedented time right now. I discussed this with Frankie (he agreed), and we (me) are prepared to address the impact of this virus on our dogs.  All our daily lives are disrupted, and uncertainty abounds.  That means we act differently. Behaviorally, as we change so do our dogs.  As our lives change, so do theirs.  Our stress, our change in daily routine, our decreased sociability, directly affects them and how they behave. Remember why we love them. Dogs FEEL us and their job is to RESPOND to what they feel FROM us.  In that response, there will be new behaviors from our dogs.  We need to expect them, we need to address them and most of all we need to manage them, until some form of “normalcy” returns. We are not only isolating ourselves, we are isolating THEM.  This can be minimized by the awareness that this trickle-down effect to our dogs is like water dripping off a rock.

Look, like most people, I am totally stressed out (understatement) and the FRANKIE IS UP MY BUTT ( no toilet paper problem solved!!!).  He sees my stress, can’t help me and hence is tense himself.  How each dog will act out will be different depending on what we do.  This is where Kindred Souls K-9 can help.

It is our hope to help our dogs be the comfort we need to get through all this.  They WANT to help…..that’s why we love them!!
